The position is one of the most scenic on the island, with uninterrupted views across the water towards Comino Island and Gozo, and the resort makes the most of this setting throughout — from the poolside terraces to the restaurant terraces and wellness facilities.
The resort is open exclusively to guests aged 16 and over, creating a calm and sophisticated atmosphere throughout. Two outdoor seawater pools provide the main focal point for daytime relaxation, and the award-winning Carisma Spa & Wellness Centre offers a comprehensive wellness experience that goes well beyond what most hotels in Malta can offer. The Blue Lagoon on Comino Island — one of the Mediterranean's most celebrated swimming spots — is just a short boat trip away and is best visited early in the morning before the day-tripper crowds arrive.
Gozo, Malta's quieter sister island, is easily reached by ferry from the nearby Cirkewwa terminal, just minutes from the hotel, and is well worth a full day for its dramatic scenery, ancient temples and relaxed pace of life. Mellieha Bay, one of Malta's largest sandy beaches, is around 2 miles away. Valletta, the capital, is approximately 45 minutes by bus.
The outdoor pool area at Riviera Spa Resort is one of its most distinctive features. Two outdoor seawater pools sit within sun terraces offering uninterrupted views across Marfa Bay towards Comino Island. For year-round swimming, the indoor heated seawater pool within the Carisma Spa facility maintains a comfortable temperature of 28–30°C and includes an integrated jacuzzi.
